1. Project Overview
Nanke Electric has custom-built a complete set of large-scale professional transformer test equipment for Eaglerise Renewable Energy (USA) INC. The equipment has been installed at Eaglerise's production base in Mexico to conduct quality inspection for mass-produced new energy transformers. It acts as a key quality assurance facility supporting Eaglerise's business expansion in the North American new energy sector.
The routine test module adopts Nanke Electric's flagship "SUPER FULLY Automatic Distribution Transformer Test System", which delivers excellent digital and automated performance.
Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Foshan, Guangdong, China, Eaglerise Electric & Electronic Co., Ltd. is a reputable manufacturer of transformers, complete power supply products and transformer core components. The company operates standard workshops covering 90,000 square meters and employs approximately 2,100 staff. Its main product lines include inductive power supplies, switching power supplies and special transformers, which are widely used in lighting, power, new energy and industrial control industries.
Eaglerise has established a comprehensive global production layout. In addition to building digital factories in domestic regions such as Jiangxi and Anhui provinces, the company has set up overseas production bases in the United States, Mexico, Thailand, and Malaysia. Among them, the U.S. factory is planned with an annual output of 21,000 distribution transformers, while the Mexico factory mainly targets the new energy transformer market. With advanced transformer testing technology, Nanke Electric helps Eaglerise establish a full digital quality inspection system for its overseas supply chain.
2. Maximum Test Capacity
(1)Voltage Class: High voltage: 35kV, 20kV, 10kV; Low voltage: 0.4kV, 0.6kV, 0.8kV
(2)Capacity: Oil-immersed three-phase transformers of 6000kVA and below (pad-mounted transformers are considered for one-time wiring). Double-split transformers are tested with independent wiring. (Applicable to 10kV, 20kV, and 35kV up to 6000kVA)
(3)Frequency: 50/60Hz
(4)Impedance: 4%–10% and below
3. Test Items
3.1 Routine Tests (Core: SUPER FULLY Automatic Distribution Transformer Test System)
This module features “one-time wiring and one-click automatic operation”. After a single wiring setup, the system can automatically complete all routine tests with just one click:
(1)Transformer insulation resistance test
(2)Transformer DC resistance measurement
(3)Transformer turns ratio and vector group measurement
(4)Transformer no-load loss and no-load current measurement
(5)Calculation of transformer no-load current percentage
(6)Transformer no-load harmonic measurement
(7)Transformer load loss measurement and conversion to standard temperature
(8)Transformer short-circuit impedance measurement and conversion to standard temperature
(9)Transformer induced withstand voltage test
(10)Transformer power-frequency withstand voltage test
3.2 Type Tests
The type test area features flexible layout and shared utilization. When not performing type tests, this area can fully conduct routine tests to maximize the efficiency of workshop space and equipment.
(1)Transformer temperature rise test: Supports one-time wiring and one-click automatic testing
(2)Transformer lightning impulse test
3.3 Special Tests
Special tests require independent wiring. They are designed for in-depth performance verification and defect detection of transformers, with all core parameters meeting top international standards:
(1)Winding deformation test
(2)Zero-sequence impedance, semi-through impedance, full-through impedance and split impedance test
(3)Transformer dielectric loss test and winding-to-earth and winding-to-winding capacitance measurement
(4)Transformer noise test (equipped with noise shielding room)
(5)Transformer partial discharge test (background and energized PD < 5pC, background noise < 38dB)
3.4 Transformer Oil Tests
(1) Oil chromatography test
(2) Oil withstand voltage test
(3) Oil dielectric loss test
(4) Oil moisture content test
4. Project Advantages
(1)Modular Automation Boosts Operational Efficiency:
Both routine tests and temperature rise tests adopt one-time wiring and one-click automatic testing, which greatly reduces manual work and intermediate operating steps. The system is well suited for quality inspection on large-scale production lines. Featuring comprehensive specifications that cover mainstream oil-immersed transformers and dual 50Hz/60Hz frequency compatibility, the equipment fully complies with power industry standards in Mexico and North America.
(2)High Testing Accuracy with Authoritative and Traceable Data:
High-precision partial discharge and noise tests are supported by professional auxiliary facilities. Key data such as load loss can be automatically converted to standard temperature. All test results are accurate and traceable, helping clients obtain certifications in accordance with strict North American quality requirements.
(3)Integrated Design Improves Resource Utilization:
The type test area and routine test area are interchangeable. A complete set of testing functions is integrated within limited workshop space, which effectively reduces investment in plant construction and additional equipment for overseas facilities.
(4)Mature Intelligent System Ensures Long-term Stable Operation Overseas:
The equipment is built on Nanke Electric's flagship NKT-S Transformer Intelligent Test System. It integrates data acquisition, automatic calculation and paperless report generation, fully meeting the demands of long-term continuous and stable operation at overseas factories.
